One of my favorite pastimes is off roading. Any weekend I can get away and see something that doesn’t have a strip mall within sight is a good trip!
Most of the time you’ll find me off roading with my good friend Guy. He’s the one you’ll see in some of my pictures who drives the Jeep. Whenever I’m concerned about the trail ahead of us being wide enough for my truck he goes ahead and checks it out. Sort of like those old John Wayne movies where he yells “Scouts to the front”! He’s saved me from lots of body damage over the years! It’s nice to have friends in small Jeeps!
These pages are some of the trips I have taken over the years, most of them with Guy. It’s good to have a buddy with you when you’re miles from help! It’s even better when your buddy is a great friend! Lets go off roading Guy!
I should give special mention and credit here to how we find many of these trails. We often use a book by the name of: “Backcountry Adventures” by Peter Massey and Jeanne Wilson. They have several of these books, I have the Southern California and Arizona versions and highly recomend them to anyone looking for good fun trails to ride. They have a rating scale to help you deciede if the trails are ok for you and your rig. They have guides and GPS info to get you into and out of the trails safely. They aren’t cheap but you won’t find us out there without them!
